Partial Care, also referred to as Partial Hospitalization, is a sub-acute level of care designed to help people navigate the post-acute withdrawal symptoms after participating in an outpatient substance abuse programs, mostly from alcohol, anesthetics, benzodiazepines or opiates.
The Partial Care program runs from 9AM-3PM every weekday. The program includes intensive therapy and medication management. Apart from post-acute withdrawal symptoms, co-occurring mental health issues are also addressed. The focus is on relapse prevention, coping skills and preparing the client for step-down to a lower level of care such as IOP or outpatient therapy.
CNT steps down individuals after detoxification to the Partial Care level of care, but also accepts direct admits from other providers and facilities. Oftentimes inpatient treatment providers are seeking treatment providers that can provide Partial Care programs closer to the client’s home as this an outpatient program. While some providers provide this level of care with a residential component, it is more effective to obtain this level of care on an outpatient basis, as the client’s home environment can be integrated into treatment delivering better outcomes.
CNT is in-network for this level of care with most major private health insurance providers: Aetna, AmeriHealth, Anthem BCBS, Beacon Health Options, Cigna, Emblem GHI (with QualCare logo), Empire BCBS, GHI Commercial, Horizon BCBS (EPO, HMO, PPO), Humana (with QualCare logo), United Health Care, Oscar, and QualCare.
